Introduction
The City of Subiaco announces the launch of a two stage procurement process to find the design team for a new Civic Building and Civic Precinct Redevelopment.
The two-step process comprises an initial expression of interest phase followed by concept design response from three shortlisted parties. Expressions of interest are now open to multi-disciplinary teams, which should include an architect and a landscape architect. Council will engage the winner, upon execution of contract, to deliver detailed design services for the new Civic Building and Precinct landscape.
The Project
The Subiaco Civic Building and precinct landscape comprises:
- Council Chambers
- Administration Building with ca. 150 workplaces
- A public lobby with exhibition space/museum
- Community hub with workshop rooms
- Public toilets
- Landscape design for the public space of the Precinct (ca. 13,000 sqm.) including Rankin Gardens
