Introduction
The new Law, Business and Economics School, brings more than 6000 students to Caulfield and transforms the campus, making it the University’s central location for social sciences teaching, learning, research and public programs.
Calling for proposals to jointly accommodate the Faculties of Law and Business and Economics in a highly flexible and collaborative environment that promotes cross-collaboration and discussion between disciplines, the project supports the broader campus academic program through a new 500-seat teaching space and contemporary technology-rich learning spaces.
The winner is McBride Charles Ryan. Their proposal incorporates teaching spaces flanked by the faculties on each floor, creating architecture of civic scale that invites the campus into the building.
